The National Educator Association holds a great resource for educators supporting LGBTQIA+ youth. If you are looking for an educator resource toolkit, support for bullying prevention, check out the link above for more information.
NEA highlights the Rainbow Library, a program that sends LGBTQ+ affirming texts to schools in select states for free. https://rainbowlibrary.org/
Do you want to help your students know you are a safe and supportive adult that they can go to? NEA offers an "I'm HERE" badge that you can add to your work badge, found below in QR code or direct link ($2):

Literature is a great way to offer Windows, Doors, and Mirrors for students to see themselves in the world and find their voice and identity or connect with the identity of others. The American Literacy Association and the Stonewall Book Awards are but great places to find new texts for your classroom library.

Note: The 2025 list was decided in August, 2025 and is currently being organized. It has not yet been announced.
